Turkey Roast Seasoned with Sage and Black Papper

Try this high protein roast turkey recipe exploding with flavour, packed with healthy nutrients and minerals your body needs, and only takes minutes to prep.

Prep Time: 10 mins. Cook Time: 1.5 – 3 hours depending on size of roast.

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 Turkey Roast
  • 1 tbsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • 2 tbsps rubbed sage
  • 1 tbsp seasoned salt
  • 2 tsps paprika
  • 1.5 tsps garlic powder
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • Brown Rice
  • Broccoli

 

METHOD

Preheat oven to 180 degree Celsius. Place turkey thigh roast in lightly oiled roasting pan. Mix seasoning’s in small bowl. Brush turkey roast with oil. Spread seasoning mixture over entire surface of turkey. Cover with foil and roast for 9 minutes per 100g or until fully coved and juices run clear. Remove foil last 15 minutes. Baste occasionally. Rest meat for 10 minutes.

Research shows these minerals may play a role in the control of high blood pressure, and reduced risk of numerous conditions, including cataracts, heart disease, and several cancers.

Brown Rice:

Is a source of many beneficial nutrients, including fiber, magnesium, zinc and vitamin B-6.

Sage:

Contains a phenolic acid called rosmarinic acid. This antioxidant is absorbed from food and acts to reduce inflammatory responses in the body. Increased intake of sage is recommended if you have inflammatory conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis, as well as bronchial asthma, and atherosclerosis.
